Terms of Service

By accessing or using Grimdark Ladder, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Use of the Platform

Grimdark Ladder provides ranking, match tracking, clubs, leagues, tournaments, social, looking-for-game availability, scheduling, and pre-game tooling for Warhammer 40,000 players and communities. You agree to use the platform lawfully and fairly.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the platform. By using Grimdark Ladder, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account and Profile Responsibility

When you first sign in, Grimdark Ladder prompts you to choose a username, pre-filled from information provided by your authentication provider (such as your name or email address). Usernames are permanent once set and cannot be changed. You may manage other profile details, including optional location information, at any time in Settings. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit, the security of your account access, and the content associated with your profile and activity.

4. Match Reporting and Fair Play

You must submit truthful match results and use competitive features in good faith. Exploiting the system, colluding, farming ratings, submitting false results, abusing invites, availability slots, scheduled challenges, or attempting to manipulate rankings, league standings, or tournament outcomes may result in content removal, suspension, or account termination.

5. Clubs, Leagues, Tournaments, and User Content

The platform allows users to create or manage clubs, leagues, tournaments, announcements, descriptions, pairings-related submissions, list submissions, availability posts, chat messages, and related content. You remain responsible for content you submit.

• You must not post unlawful, abusive, harassing, fraudulent, or infringing content
• You must not impersonate others or misuse owner, co-owner, or organizer permissions
• We may remove content or restrict access where needed to protect the platform or its users

6. Emails and Notifications

By using the platform, you understand that Grimdark Ladder may send service-related emails and notifications connected to challenges, challenge chat, Circle requests, initialized matches, tournament activity, club posts, reminders, alerts, and account or administrative matters. You can manage your email notification preferences from the Settings page, including opting out of specific notification categories. Some administrative or account-related communications may still be sent regardless of your preferences.

7. Challenges, Scheduling, and Availability

Challenge, scheduling, and availability features are intended to help players coordinate games, not to guarantee attendance, availability, or completion.

• Availability posts, accepted challenges, and scheduled times may be edited, canceled, expire, or be removed under platform rules
• Accepted challenge removal may apply a token penalty under the current platform rules
• Challenge chat is provided for coordination and is subject to the same content and conduct standards as the rest of the platform

8. Tournament Features

Tournament features are intended to help organizers and players run events more cleanly, but they do not replace your responsibility to verify event rules, pairings, round timing, list legality, scoring, or organizer rulings.

• Tournament standings and result states depend on the data submitted and confirmed through the platform
• Organizers remain responsible for the event they run and for how they use organizer permissions
• We may correct, reopen, restrict, or remove event data where necessary to address abuse, disputes, or platform integrity concerns

9. Threat Detection

Grimdark Ladder includes a Threat Detection feature that processes army list text and returns structured informational output about mechanics present in a list. By using it, you acknowledge that:

• The feature is provided for informational and rules-transparency purposes only
• The feature does not provide tactical, strategic, legal, or professional advice
• Results may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, delayed, or change without notice
• You remain responsible for verifying rules, list legality, and game interactions with your opponent and official sources
• Army list text may be processed through third-party services used to support this feature

10. Availability and Changes

The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, permanent feature availability, or complete accuracy of rankings, notifications, or outputs.

11. Suspension, Removal, and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, remove, or terminate accounts, content, clubs, leagues, tournaments, or access to features at our discretion where we believe it is necessary to enforce rules, prevent abuse, address legal or security concerns, or protect the platform.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Grimdark Ladder is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from use of the platform, reliance on rankings or feature outputs, content submitted by users, or service interruptions.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
